SBI Apprentice 2020 | Apply for 8500 vacancies

SBI Apprentice 2020 registration begins from 20th Nov 2020. The State Bank of India invites applications from Indian citizens under the Apprentice Act 1961. SBI has announced totally of 8500 Apprentice vacancies. You can apply for engagement as Apprentice in one state only.

Meaning of Apprenticeship

Apprenticeship is a Skill Training program wherein a person is engaged by a company as an apprentice and gains classroom (theory) learning for a short period, followed by on-the-job (practical) training. SBI Apprentice means you will be engaged by SBI in a skill training program for 3 years followed by On Job training. During the training period, you must qualify for the IIBF exam (JAIIB/CAIIB).

Eligibility Criteria

Age (as on 31-10-2020):

Minimum 20 years and Maximum 28 years

Educational Qualification (as on 31-10-2020)

Graduation from a recognised University/ Institute

SBI Apprentice Recruitment: Know about Stipend, training,Selection process

Duration of Training

Three years only. The selected apprentices should be willing to qualify in the examinations of IIBF (JAIIB/CAIIB) during 3 years apprenticeship engagement in the Bank.

SBI Apprentice Salary

The apprentices are eligible for stipend of Rs.15000/- per month during 1st year, Rs.16500/- per month during 2nd year and Rs.19000/- per month during 3rd year. The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/ benefits.

Selection process

Selection for engagement of apprentices would be based on the basis of (i) online written test and (ii) test of local language.

(i) Online Written Test Pattern

(ii)Test of local language
After qualifying the online written examination, SBI conducts test for knowledge of specified opted local language. Candidate must pass this test to be engaged for apprentice.
However, if the candidate produces 10th or 12th standard mark sheet evidencing having studied the specified opted local language then he need not undergo the language test.

(iii)Medical Examination
The Bank selects candidates for apprentice only if the declared medically fit as per the requirement of the bank.

3.Scanned image of your photograph
4.Scaneed image of your signature

How to Apply?

Candidates must apply online for Apprenticeship either through the apprenticeship website or through SBI website. Below are the steps

Apply through Apprenticeship website

1.Visit the website https://apprenticeshipindia.org
2.To register and apply for Apprenticeship, click on Register > Candidate

4.You are directed to the below screen. Enter your details and click on submit.

Apply through SBI website

1.Visit the Offcial SBI website https://www.sbi.co.in/web/careers/current-openings
2.Click on Apply Online under the announcement Engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961.
3.You reach the below screen. Click on ‘Click here for New Registration’

4.It displays a form with 5 tabs such as Basic Info, Photo & Signature, Details, Preview, Payment. Fill all the tabs accurately.

5.Pay your application fees using debit card or credit card or internet banking.
6.On successful completion of transaction, the system generates e-receipt and application form.
7. Take a printout of your application.
