Number of parts of B in 2010=5
Number of parts of B in 2011=9
Increase =(9-5)/5= 4/5

% Increase=(9-5/5)*100

% Increase  =80%

Ans % increase in the sale of B type cars=80%

Lets discuss the steps now
Step 1: Subtract the numbers of the subtrahend from the Minuend 
Step 2: If any digit in subtrahend is more than Minuend then add a circle on difference you get on subtracting.
Step 3:Now wherever circle is there it means the complement of the number(10- number)
Step 4:If there is any digit before the circled number then 1 must be subtracted from the number.

Example 1: 47-28=?
Observe that the Minuend is 47 and Subtrahend is 28 where the unit’s place digit is more than the minuend’s units digit.
First we subtract as usual

Note that 8 is more than 7 so we add a circle on 1
We find Complement of the difference(1)=10-1=9
Subtract 1 from previous number(2) as the next digit is circled
We get

Example 2: 37-29=?
Minuend is 37 and Subtrahend is 29
First we subtract as usual

       -2 9
    ———
        1 6    

Note that the unit’s place digit(9) of subtrahend is more than the unit’s place digit(3) of minuend so we add a circle on the difference 

We find Complement of the difference(6)=10-6=4
Subtract 1 from previous number(1) as the next digit is circled
We get, 

 3 3

-2 9

 ———
 1 6
 0 4    


Ans 37-29=4


Example 3: 65381-42497=?
First we subtract as usual

Add circle on the digits 6,1,1 as these digits of the subtrahend are more than their corresponding digits in minuend
We get,

Now we find complements of the circled numbers 
Complement of 6=10-6=4
Complement of 1=10-1=9
Complement of 1=10-1=9

We get,

Subtracting 1 from the numbers previous to the circled numbers
We get,

Here we notice that both the numbers are close to 100

102 is 2 more than 100 so the difference is 2
103 is 3 more than 100 so the difference is 3

Step 2:Multiplying the differences 
we get,
2 x 3=6 which is the unit’s place digit.

Step 3:Now to find the rest of the number adding the differences to 100 
we get,
2+3+100=105

Placing 105 to the left of the result obtained in step 2(6)

50% of a number will be half of the number
ex:50% of 360 will be 360/2=180

10% of a number can be found by shifting the decimal point by 1 place to the left.

Example 2:21% of 250 is?

Step 1: 21% can be split into 10%+10%+1%

Step 2: First we find 10% of 250 by shifting the decimal point to the left by one place
we get,
10% of 250=25.0

Step 4:Now we need to find 1% of 250 by shifting the decimal point to the left by 2 places.
We get,
1% of 250=2.50

Step 1:61% can be split into 50%+10%+1%

Step 4:Now we need to find 1% of 754 by shifting the decimal point to the left by 2 places.
We get, 1% of 754=7.54

Example 4: 98% of 850 is?
Step 1: 98% can be split into 100% – 2%

Step 2: We know that 100% of 850 which is 850.

Step 3: Now we find 1% of 850 by shifting the decimal point to the left by 2 places
we get, 1% of 850= 8.5

Step 4:Now we find 2% of a number,

1% of 850 + 1% of 850=8.5 + 8.5

we get, 2% of 850= 17

Step 5:a Subtracting the results we get,
  100%- 2%= 850-17=833

Example 5: 95% of 620 is?

Step 1: 95% can be split into 100% – 5%

Step 2: We know that 100% of 620 which is 620.

Step 3: Now we find 10% of 620 by shifting the decimal point to the left by 1 place
we get, 10% of 620= 62

Step 4:Now we find 5% of 620 which is half of 10%

62/2= 31

we get, 5% of 62= 31

Step 5:a Subtracting the results we get,
  100%- 5%= 620-31=589
