SBI Recruitment 2018 | Vacancies

SBI Recruitment 2018 process starts from 20th Jan 2018. All the eligible candidates can apply for the post of Junior Associates after checking their eligibility criteria.  SBI exams are separate from the IBPS exam. Even if you have written the IBPS exam, you can still apply for the SBI exams. IBPS score card is not applicable for SBI recruitment. State Bank of India, one of the largest banks conducts examination in 2 phases. Preliminary examination is conducted in Phase I and then candidates qualifying in preliminary exams are to take up Main exams conducted by SBI in Phase II. Candidates successful in both Preliminary exam and Main exams are provisionally selected. Provisionally selected candidates should pass the Language proficiency test of the language opted by them at the time of registration. In case you do not pass the language test in the language opted by you, you will be disqualified.

 

SBI announces over 9600 vacancies for the post of Junior Associates. Details of the vacancies are as below. Please note that you can opt for only one language at the time of registration. SBI Recruitment 2018 process starts from Jan 2018. State Bank of India, the only fortune 500 bank from India with legacy of 200 years invites applications for the post of Junior associates in Customer support and sales.

 

SBI conducts the examination online in two phases. Preliminary examination is conducted in the month of March/ April and Main examination is conducted in May 2018. It is mandatory for candidates successful in both the exams to pass the exam in the local language of the state they have applied for. Without passing the test of local language, the candidate cannot join the bank. However, candidates who have studied the opted local language in 10th/ 12th standard need not undergo language test. 10th/12th standard marks sheet is to be produced as evidence to show that they have studied the opted local language.

Phase-I- Preliminary examination consists of 100 objective questions with time duration of 1 hour.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Academic qualification

  • As on 01.01.2018, you should have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. For eligibility purpose, SBI considers the date appearing on your mark sheet or certificate or provisional certificate as your date of passing.
  • If you have integrated dual degree, ensure that the date of passing the Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) is on or before 01.01.2018.
  • If you are an Matriculate Ex-servicemen, you should have completed not less than 15 years of services in the Armed forces of the Union and also obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Airforce.

 

Age limit

As on 01.01.2018, your age should be above 20 years and below 28 years. That is, you should be born after 02.01.1990 and before 01.01.1998(both days inclusive)

SBI Debit Card Blocked Permanently

State Bank of India, India’s largest bank and a Fortune 500 company has blocked all the magstripe SBI debit cards permanently. This has come in the backdrop of enhanced security measure and in compliance with the RBI guidelines. As per new guidelines, customers are to request for replacement EMV Chip SBI Debit card by either visiting home branch or using Online services.

An SBI Debit  card customer using the old magstripe debit card will receive the below SMS

“Your State Bank Debit Card ending XXXX is blocked on DD-MMM-YY at HH:MM. Tkt No XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Apply for replacement Card at www.onlinesbi.com or home branch”

 

What is Magstripe card ?

A Magstripe card can be identified by looking at the center-left position on the face of the debit card. If there is no Chip located on the
face of the Debit Card, it is a Magstripe card.

What is EMV Chip Debit Card?

EMV Chip SBI Debit Card

If there is a Chip located on the face (center-left position) of the SB Debit Card, it is a EMV Chip Debit card. It is the latest global standards for debit card payments. The microprocessor chip present on the card holds and protects the cardholder data much more efficiently than the Magstrip debit cards.

How can I apply for the replacement SBI Debit Card?

SBI Debit card holder can directly visit the home branch and request for replacement EMV Chip Debit card. Alternatively, Customer can request for issuance of the replacement EMV Chip Debit Card online . Login to SBI online using the User ID and password credentials provided to you initially. Apply for EMV Chip Debit card online by selecting “ATM Card Services” under the eServices” tab.

The replacement card is absolutely free of cost for the existing SBI debit card holders. The annual maintenance charges also remains the same for the new card.
