IBPS Cler4k Exam 2020| 1500Vacancies

IBPS Clerk Exam Notification for 2020 is out.Institute of Banking Personnel Selection invites applications from eligible candidates to fill over 1500 vacancies.Although, the number of clerical posts advertised is low, given the current pandemic situation getting employment in a public sector bank is a dream come true for many.

About IBPS

The institute of Banking Personnel Selection(IBPS) an independent body facilitates mass online/written examinations nationwide. IBPS exam scores play a key role for recruitment of candidates for various posts in all public sector banks, government agencies and insurance companies.

Every year IBPS conducts IBPS Clerk Exams to recruit for vacancies in the nodal banks.Last year IBPS conducted clerk exams to fill over 12000 vacancies. This year it has announced only 1500 vacancies which is too low compared to last year. Also do bear in mind that lakhs of students write the clerical exams and only a handful of them get selected every year. In spite of the huge competition, many aspire to join public sector banks.

So, if it is your dream to join a public sector bank then you must start preparing for the Bank exam. Generally, the Institute of Banking & Personnel Selections conducts IBPS Clerk Exam 2 phases. In the 1st phase, IBPS conducts the preliminary exam for the candidates. And candidates must score minimum cut-off marks to be eligible to attend the IBPS Clerk Main Exam.IBPS sets the minimum cut-off marks. If you succeed in the preliminary exam then you become eligible for Clerk Main Exam. In the 2nd phase, Main exam is conducted for the successful candidates. You must secure minimum marks in
each sections.

The online examination (Preliminary and Main) is tentatively scheduled in December 2020 & January 2021. Meanwhile, you can register yourself for the CRP Clerk Exam. Penalty for Wrong Answers

You have to be mindful while marking your answers in the Objective Tests as there is penalty. For instance, Each wrong answer you mark they deduct 0.25 marks of the total marks for that question. However, there is no penalty if you do not mark any answer. So, it is better to leave a question blank if you do not know the answer for sure. By this you can get a better score in the exams instead of guessing and marking a wrong answer. Also, note that penalty for wrong answers is applicable for both preliminary and main exam.

You must obtain a minimum score in each test of the Online Main Exam.In addition to this, you must also secure minimum total score in the main exam if the bank has to consider you for further process. The IBPS decides cut-offs on the basis of vacancies available in the state/ UT. However, the bank will not share your online main exam scores before the completion of provisional allotment process. Furthermore, for Final merit listing the bank takes into consideration only main exam marks.
